About Me
I’m Estelle…
I have always been interested in people, in how we think and why we do what we do. I’m always fascinated by people’s stories, their beliefs and the choices they make.
Before I became a counsellor I worked as an Occupational Therapist specialising in mental health. Whilst I enjoyed the work it didn’t always give me the opportunity to help people make real changes. It was more ‘fire fighting’ than life changing!
I have been a counsellor for the past six years. During that time I have helped many people with all sorts of issues. I’ve worked in schools for the NHS, for charities and in private practice. Currently, alongside my private work, I provide counselling for victims of domestic violence and abuse.
I wholeheartedly believe that by providing a compassionate and safe space, people are able to face what is difficult and make meaningful changes.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (bacp.co.uk). This means that I completed training accredited by the BACP and that I work within their Ethical Framework. Essentially this ensures that I always put your interests first and behave professionally. You can read more about the BACP’s Ethical Framework here.
I have regular, confidential clinical supervision with a fully qualified supervisor to ensure that I provide the best possible service.
I have an Enhanced DBS certificate.
I have full professional indemnity insurance.
I am committed to ongoing professional development.
I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ico.org.uk). You can read my privacy policy here.
